GV-Ilaya Thalapathy-Atlee

Composer GV Prakash, in his recent tweet, mentioned that his 50th project will be with director Atlee. The last album from the duo, Raja Rani was a musical blockbuster and of course the composer is enthusiastic about getting back with the director. He announced, “#GV50 will be with Atlee... Project details soon in the coming months ... Super excited!” When we investigated further, we heard that it is indeed for the film that Atlee had proposed to Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The word is that Vijay has given his nod for the project. Meanwhile, GV Prakash completed his 25th film in 2012, with Thaandavam and to complete yet another 25 in a span of less than 2 years is an extraordinary achievement. Meanwhile, his long list of upcoming musicals also includes, Naan Sigappu Manithan, Saivam, Pencil, Kakka Muttai, Irumbu Kuthirai and Eetti. We wish him all the best for his 50 and many more!

'Madha Yaanai Koottam'

G V Prakash Kumar's maiden production venture directed by Vikram Sukumaran, an assistant of Balu Mahendra has been titled 'Madha Yaanai Koottam'. The film kick started in a month back in Theni and the the team is currently busy with their second schedule of shooting. Touted to be an action entertained, the film stars debutant Kathir as the male lead, while Oviya will play the heroine. Interestingly the music of the film would be scored by one of G V Prakash's assistants. Director Vikram had shared the credits for script writing with Vetrimaaran for the National-Award- winning film, Aadukalam, Meanwhile G V Prakash is also getting groomed for his debut as an actor in AR Murugadoss home production and Fox Star studios produced romantic musical which will be directed by ARM's assistant.

Music composer GV Prakash is all set to get married with his longtime girlfriend Saindhavi on June 27. Sources say the marriage ceremony will take place at a private function hall in Chennai and various film celebs from Telugu, Tamil and Hindi film industries are expected to grace the wedding.

First movie from G.V.Prakash home production G.V.Prakash Kumar Productions is titled as Madha Yaanai Kootam. Oviya and debutant Kadhir are playing the main leads. This movie will have tunes composed by N.R.Raghunathan.Vikram Sugumaran is wielding the megaphone and Kishore Te will handle editorial work. Rahul Dharman is handling the cinematography. Madha Yaanai Kootam has already completed its first schedule in Theni.Meanwhile, G.V.Prakash is also busy composing tunes for upcoming movies like Thalaivaa, Raja Rani, Nimrindhu Nil. UDHAYAM NH4

          Udhayam NH4 is an upcoming Tamil film directed by debutant Manimaran, a former associate of Vetrimaaran. The film features Siddharth and newcomer Ashrita Shetty in the lead roles. Vetrimaaran has written the script, done the screenplay, and also penned the dialogues for this film.The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film is expected to release along with a Telugu version in February 2013.

GV Prakash to marry singer Saindhavi

          GV Prakash Kumar, one of the leading music directors in Tamil film industry, is going to marry singer Saindhavi. A couple of days ago, he announced the news about his marriage that the couple is entering the wedlock by December 2011. According to Prakash, it is a love marriage with the consent of their parents. They were in love with eachother since school days and recently decided to disclose this to the media. GV made his debut in Veyil and later he delivered some good numbers in Kireedam and Angadi Theru.

         He has also composed Rajinikanth starrer movie Kuselan. It is noted that he is a nephew of AR Rahman. Saindhavi is a trained classical singer. She has sung songs in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Her notable songs in Tamil are 'Andankakka' from Anniyan and 'Thanjavoor Jillakkari' from Sura. Interestingly, she has not crooned a single number under GV's direction.
