G.V. Prakash and Vetrimaran acts together

Composer G.V. Prakash has acted in a scene with director Vetrimaran and cinematographer Velraj. The scene is a part of ‘Naan Rajaavagapporen’ starring Nakulan, directed by Vetriman’s assistant Prithvi Rajkumar. The story and screenplay are also by Prithvi. GV is the music director.

He completed 25 years and his 26th birthday fell on June 13. He did not have time to celebrate as he was busy with ‘Saguni’ re-recording.Narrating his acting experience, GV said he had scored music for 25 films in a short span of time. ‘Naan Rajaavagapporen’ has a ‘cultural programme’ scene in which he acted along with director Vegtrimaran and cinematographer Velraj. Though it is a brief scene, his appearing in it as an actor is a new experience for him, Prakash said gleefully.

         Two letters from the English alphabet seem to be playing an important part in music composer G V Prakash’s life. In Bollywood his two films in Hindi are with Anurag Kashyap and Akshay Kumar, who are both ‘AK’ when abbreviated.When we recently asked him who he’d like to work with in the Hindi industry, GV named Aamir Khan without battling an eyelid. Another AK on the cards?
           In Kollywood though, it looks like ‘V’ is the letter to look at for the composer. His first flick was Veyyil with Vasantabalan, which gave him name and fame. He worked with directors Vijay and Vetri Maaran on big projects such as Deiva Thiirumagal and Aadukalam, films that gave him a lot of acclaim and fans!

Daler Mehendi sings 'Sing Raja' in GV Prakash music

The Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehendi has once again created a hit song with GV Prakash , this time in Hindi. Daler Mehndi song 'Sing Raja' composed by GV Prakash in Akshay Kumar's forthcoming Sirish Kundar directed Joker is creating waves.

Remember, GV Prakash and Daler Mehendi had earlier collaborated together for a Tamil song. Who can forget the peppy number "Om Zaarare…" sung by Daler Mehendi, Chitra and Sadhana Sargam and picturised onSuperstar Rajinikanth and Nayanthara in Kuselan?

Now GV is back with Daler Mehendi after a four year gap with "Sing Raja…" song of Joker which is pure 'Masti'. The track is a concoction of desi tunes with western beats and an extremely foot-thumping number. "Sing Raja" is climbing up the charts and is going to be a major attraction in Joker featuring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.
