Daler Mehendi sings 'Sing Raja' in GV Prakash music

The Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehendi has once again created a hit song with GV Prakash , this time in Hindi. Daler Mehndi song 'Sing Raja' composed by GV Prakash in Akshay Kumar's forthcoming Sirish Kundar directed Joker is creating waves.

Remember, GV Prakash and Daler Mehendi had earlier collaborated together for a Tamil song. Who can forget the peppy number "Om Zaarare…" sung by Daler Mehendi, Chitra and Sadhana Sargam and picturised onSuperstar Rajinikanth and Nayanthara in Kuselan?

Now GV is back with Daler Mehendi after a four year gap with "Sing Raja…" song of Joker which is pure 'Masti'. The track is a concoction of desi tunes with western beats and an extremely foot-thumping number. "Sing Raja" is climbing up the charts and is going to be a major attraction in Joker featuring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.

G V Prakash & Saindhavi work together for Sasikumar's 'Sundara Pandian'

Celebrity couple G V Prakash and childhood sweetheart Saindhavi have been friends forever and are set to tie the knot soon. Though G V Prakash is not composing the music for the film, he and Saindhavi have each sung different songs in Sundara Pandian.

While Saindhavi has crooned 'Nenjukkulle...' with lyrics penned by Thamarai, GV Prakash has lent his voice for 'Rekkai Mulaiththen...' along with Shreya Goshal. Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics for the song. N R Rahnanthan has composed the music for the film.

Directed by S R Prabhakaran, the movie is produced by Sasikumar's Company Productions and sees Sasikumar and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles.

G V Prakash scores a jackpot Bala's next Statue

Y
oung and upcoming music director G.V. Prakash Kumar is sure making heads turn.  GVP, niece of music wizard A.R. Rehman, was the music of the national award-winning film Aadukalam.  He also scored the music of director Selvaraghavan's magnum opus Aayirathil Oruvan early last year.  It was the first time that Selvaa had gone for a music director other than Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Creative-minded director Bala, who takes his own time in making his films, has always gone for either 'Maestro' Ilaiyaraaja (Sethu, Pithamagan & Naan Kadavul) or Yuvan Shankar Raja (Nandha, Avan Ivan).  It appears that he has finally decided to move out of the Maestro's family to select another music director for his upcoming film.  Though it's not confirmed as yet, it is said that the lanky Atharva, son of late Murali, would be cast in the lead role in Bala's next film.

GVP debuted as a singer when he was a young boy by crooning the first few lines of the popular song Chikku bukku rayilu... from the film Gentleman, which had music by his Uncle A.R. Rahman.  He debuted as music director with director Vasanthabalan's soul-searching film Veyil a few years back.  He also scored the music of superstar Rajinikanth's Kuselan and then followed successful films such as Madarasapattinam, Angaadi Theru and Aadukalam.

He now has a couple of real biggies in his kitty.  Other than Bala's upcoming film, he has also bagged the chance to score the music of director Bharathiraaja's upcoming venture Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum which might also mark the comeback of actress Priyamani in Kollywood.

Let him flourish like his Uncle!
